Do you feel like I do? That worship isn’t complete without a song. Music can embed the Good News better than any sermon. Any 4-year-old knows that – because they know everything. They learn while hearing it in song!
So that is my purpose and why I’ve been encouraged to create this blog for those of all faiths– to enhance Sabbath day worship, as a companion with *Come Follow Me, or for personal worship or lesson material. There is an eclectic selection of songs here that I hope will reach you.
With each post you will find links to selected YouTube music videos or other streaming services. Perhaps that will lead you on a chase to find even more. There is so much to be found – I’m just skimming the surface here. Sing along and enjoy the ride full of ear candy! Subscribers will get a weekly notification with newest post, no fees or solicitations ever. Ads may be embedded in streaming content.
Thank you to the many many many many artists who bring God’s light to and through our earlids. God bless you!!
Keep checking back – there is an endless source of good material to include. I will continue to improve this site to make songs easier to find.
I welcome requests for a song you want to hear, or you can contact me with any other comment regarding this site. I’m striving to stay within the focus of weekly study guide, so please be patient if ‘your’ song takes some time to be posted here.
Most importantly – enjoy the music and the spirit the music invites.
*Come Follow Me is the family and church study outline for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which rotates annually from Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Church History/Doctrine and Covenants. The teachings of Jesus Christ represented on this Blog will resonate with all those who seek a higher power.

Lisa!
What a great idea! I’m in a more secular place in my spiritual life but enjoy the ferver and worship of traditions that support growth in humility, and gratitude, a sense of inherent worthiness and joy in existence, immersion in gratitude and wonder of the natural world, invitations to awe and quiet new beginnings(the Christ’s birth) and also loss, death, and faith in the great renewals (Christ and the resurrection for instance). There is much to religious AND secular music that speaks to transformation and transcendence that moves me. I SO MUCH AGREE that music and the soul have a connection like nothing else. How can I keep from singing?!Leslie Williams
May I heartily suggest, this piece especially, John Rutter’s Psalmfest. There is so much in this work that makes me weep from deep places in my soul.
https://youtu.be/qEmupLOC2EY?si=7G8jIdULikTAQsuDre: Brenda’s request: ‘Born A Winner’ was on the 1988 EFY Album ‘Win the Race’, Lightwave Records; Embryo Music; Lex de Azevedo; Randy Thorderson. I’m not able to find it as a single, but YouTube has the full album — https://youtu.be/Iyo0TyHfUwg?feature=shared . ‘Born A Winner’ is the second track, beginning at 3:50. “My Father rules the Heavens, My Mother is a queen, My brother is a champion- He’s called the King of Kings. And I was once among them, a spirit born of God; Created by His mighty hand, A warrior for his cause. I was born a winner . . . destined for eternal victory . . .” It’s a good song. Thank you for sharing, Brenda!
Wow. What wonderful idea! I love music and the power it has to strengthen me in my path.

I have a request. It’s a song from an early Especially For Youth. It’s called “I Was Born A Winner”.
