Come Follow Me Ether 12-15
I am excited to learn that our new hymnbook will include Come, Lord Jesus. I came to love this song as a cast member for ‘Savior of the World’ that plays at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Conference Center each year. Come to the manger; Come to the wounded; Come, Great Redeemer. Let us welcome Him with open arms, and open hearts.
Come, Lord Jesus- BYU Men’s Chorus at Temple Square
There are many who have been slammed recently by torrential storms, have lost homes and loved ones, communities wiped out. Our prayers go out to you. May you feel His guidance as you rebuild, and trust in His constant care.

The same goes to all of us in our storms.

Something I’ve learned from boating – don’t toss the anchor until you’ve tied it to a rope that is tied to your boat. No, I haven’t had to learn that the hard way, but no doubt there are a lot of untied anchors sitting on the bottom of Lake Powell.
I’ve also learned that your anchor needs to be embedded into something solid, and your rope may need to wrap around that something solid, so be prepared with a lot of rope.
We’ve gone through a few storms on the lake, and have felt the reassurance of anchors that are fastened securely. We’ve often had to adjust our ropes as waters rise and fall. What I did learn the hard way was the mistake of untying the rope in a wind where I didn’t have the strength to pull it taut to the secure anchor. It took the power of the boat’s engines to move us against the wind to where we could refasten in a secure place.
These are lessons I apply in my life of faith. Trust the well-set, proven anchor. Take care in minding your ropes that are attached to it. Call on help when you’re beyond your own strength. Give thanks – for the helper, the rope, the anchor.
Wonderful, Merciful Savior- Selah
I am ever grateful for the secure anchor of Jesus Christ.
