Come Follow Me Mormon 1-6

Repent – meaning to turn back around.

Michael Card has been a family favorite for many years. This song invites us to quit carrying our burdens!

The Things We Leave Behind- Michael Card

It is heart-wrenching to watch someone you love do things that harm themselves, sometimes in the most devastating ways. My heart goes to you, many dear parents, who are in this pain. Yet do we stop loving a lost child? Never! We pray and yearn for them to ‘come to themselves’.

The story of the Prodigal Son is a well-known example of a father welcoming a son home, a son who was lost in sinning – looking for happiness in all the wrong places. Would a perfect, loving Father greet us in any other manner than gladness for our return?

He Ran To Me- Craig & Dean Phillips

This next song has become a favorite in our worship. There are many recordings of it, most are country-western, all are beautiful and thoughtful. Come home, He calls.

Softly and Tenderly- Keith & Kristyn Getty

Now, as we are so often the one making the wrong choices and causing pain, wake up! It’s easy to find fun and excitement and laughter, only to discover it gone the next morning. So we search to find that ‘high’ again. And again and again. Yet what we’re trying to find keeps eluding us.

Would it be shocking to know that we are always receiving divine love? In allowing ourselves to be caught in our Father’s holy embrace we will find truth – of who we are, and a happiness – a joy that is lasting.

As brothers and sisters let us open our eyes to each other, recognize that we all are suffering from some pain, and that we have power to ease another’s pain with our love. We’ve gotta look out for each other!
