Come Follow Me – Helaman 7-12

Happy 100th Birthday President Russel M. Nelson!! Of all the hearts you’ve worked on through the years, yours is one of the strongest and best! Thank you for giving so much of your good heart to Christ, and to all of us. Thank you for your love and service.

This recording is way back when he was celebrating 99th birthday. To be updated.

To commemorate his birthday, President Nelson has invited that as we look after our ‘ninety and nine’, that we reach out to the one. To uplift, offer a helping hand, forgive. Perhaps you know the one you need to reach out to.

One By One- Elder Bednar, Paul Cardall, with Nathan Pacheco etc.

We are so blessed to have modern prophets, whose good news of Christ are preparing us for His coming. They teach us to be kind to all – as Jesus would treat them.

This thought resonated with me – that forgetting God is a bigger problem than not knowing him. The story of the Israelites being brought out of Egypt has layers of this idea. How well did they worship before Moses came along? I don’t know. But they followed a prophet. For forty years they remained in the wilderness, were taught new ways to worship, built a tabernacle and offered sacrifices as a remembrance of their deliverance. And – too easily forgotten – in remembrance of their deliverer.

Today we offer as a sacrifice our hearts, our hands, our service. Like our ancient cousins, our sacrifice is in remembrance of our deliverance by His hands. It’s interesting that after his resurrection, he still bore the scars on His hands – as a remembrance of all He has pledged to us.

Let us always remember Jesus Christ, Jehovah, our deliverer. He will always remember me.
